Our first day back to school is Wednesday September 6, 2017.

Our mission at Bethel’s Place to Play Christian Preschool is to come along side families to help educate and guide children on their greatest adventure ever

growing up!

These early preschool years are a prime time to introduce students to social skills, such as independence and good manners; as well as academic skills, such as letter and number recognition and basic problem solving.

We strive to provide a faith-based program that supports your child and family with encouragement and compassion, while offering a solid and challenging academic curriculum.

For our 2 year old students: Classes will focus on learning basic social skills such as sharing and manors, and will introduce elementary educational skills. Children will be introduced to the alphabet, days of the week and weather concepts through songs and circle time. Children will begin to learn about numbers, shapes and colors by playing age appropriate games. Students will participate in art, music and story time daily.  A daily snack is provided.

For our 3 year old students: Classes will focus on colors, numbers, letters, animals, community life & families, our bodies/ good nutrition/ hygiene, proper manners, the seasons & weather.  Beginning in January, we will have “Show and Tell” monthly to allow the students to get to know each other better and to encourage self-confidence and language skills. Students will participate in art, music and story time daily.  A daily snack is provided.

Enrichment Day for 2 & 3 year olds

Fridays, 9 - 11:30 AM

Children will begin their day with 30 minutes of constructive play, then enjoy a snack provided by the school. The children will then reinforce their classroom skills at circle time followed by the daily ELA lesson, which will consist of an age appropriate story followed by a time of art and crafts. Enrichment day lessons will range from alphabet and phonics skills, to printing and scissor-skills activities.

The Enrichment Day program is only open to 2 & 3 year old students currently enrolled in either a M/W or T/Th class.

For our 4 year old students: Classes will focus on building the skills necessary to succeed in kindergarten, while improving on the skills learned in the 3 year old preschool curriculum. Students will advance their math skills by learning about grouping and addition. Students will advance their reading skills by learning about rhyming and phonics, as well as proper handwriting techniques. Students will advance their science skills by learning about the elements, climates, and weather. The children will continue to learn about good nutrition/hygiene & physical education, different types of occupations, good manners, as well as art and music opportunities.  4 year old students will have “Show and Tell” once a month, beginning in October. This is a great way to get to know each other better and to encourage self-esteem, while practicing public speaking and language skills.

All children will participate in faith-based lessons every day, using a fun and age-appropriate curriculum. As a Christian faith program we aspire to make every family feel welcome!

General Information:

Our preschool program runs September to June, and follows the Mohonasen Central School District’s calendar for most major holidays/vacations and school emergency closings. Children are required to register for a minimum of 2 days per week, and tuition is paid the first day of class every month. A late charge of $1.00 per calendar day is assessed to all late tuitions, with the exception of school missed due to illness. At this time we do not accept any tuition aide programs; tuitions can be paid by cash, personal check, bank tellers check or by credit/debit card. There are no additional fees for using credit/debit cards. Bethel is able to set up recurring monthly card payments if you so choose; very convenient. A non-refundable, registration deposit of one month’s tuition is due at the time of registration; this deposit is held as your last month's tuition payment and can be used to pay for June's tuition if your payments are in good standing. Materials fees for all preschool classes are due on or before the first day of class in September, and once paid are non-refundable. Two weeks written notice is due before withdrawing your student from school if you would like to use your deposit as your last month's tuition; otherwise the deposit is forefit. The schedule you choose will run the duration of the school year, September through June, and any changes to your child’s schedule must be pre-approved by our center’s director and agreed to in writing.   Children must be 2 years old by October 1, 2017 to enter our program. Children do not need to be potty trained. If your child is still in diapers or pull-ups, you will be required to provide diapers/ pull-ups and wipes for use during the school day. Please label all packages of diapers/pull-ups and wipes. A current and valid vaccination record from your child's physician must be kept on file and is due on or before the first day of school in September. We do not administer any form of medication at Bethel’s Place to Play Preschool; please plan accordingly. All families must agree to our Bethel’s Place to Play Preschool “Photography/media/social media and internet Policy”; this policy is in place to protect the privacy and safety of our students, staff and visitors.
